​Run For Hope 

This is our annual signature run promoting cancer awareness and funding support for cancer research. (More info about the run is available on www.runforhope.sg)

Run For Hope 2020 has been postponed to Sunday, 16 Aug 2020.

Volunteer position & description of volunteer service

Position 1: Photographers & Videographers
You will support the publicity and awareness needs of the event and cancer cause. 

Level of Patient Interaction: Low / Minimal interaction that may involve meeting patients
 
Position 2: Video Creative Editor
You will support the publicity and awareness needs of the event and cancer cause.

Level of Patient Interaction: None
 
Position 3: Run Ambassadors
You will support the publicity and awareness needs of the event and cancer cause by sharing the positives of your cancer-fighting journey and/or experiences supporting the Run For Hope. Cancer survivors are strongly encouraged to participate.

Level of Patient Interaction: Low / Minimal interaction that may involve meeting patients 

Position 4: Event Support for Run Pack Collection, which is taking place during a 3-day (Friday to Sunday) period. 

You will provide event support, which includes facilitating the process of distributing run packs to registered runners during the Run Pack Collection period, as well as assist with on-site publicity and the registration of new runners (where required).

Level of Patient Interaction: None

Position 5: Support for Run Pack PACKING, which is taking place during a 2-day (Saturday to Sunday) period.
You will provide manpower support for the packing and organising of Run Packs.

Level of Patient Interaction: None

Commitment required

​Position 1: You may commit about 10 to 16 collective hours to discussions for creative concepts, and photography/videography of the Run ambassadors, about 10 to 12 weeks before the Run.

Position 2: You may commit to editing and producing 1 to 2 short publicity videos (within 2 weeks) using filmed footages provided, about 10 weeks before the Run.

Position 3: You may commit about 8 to 16 collective hours for interviews, photography and/or videography.

Position 4: You may commit to at least 1 shift of 5 hours per day, with the option to help out over 1 to 3 day(s), during the activity period.

1st shift: 9.30am – 2.30pm (5hrs*) /  2nd shift: 2pm – 7pm (5hrs*)

*Inclusive of on-site volunteer briefing, and 1 meal break. Meal provided.

(We need up to 30 volunteers per shift.)

Position 5: You may commit to at least 1 day of 8 hours per day, with the option to help out over 1 to 2 day(s), during the activity period,  9am – 5pm (8hrs*).

(We need up to 30 volunteers per day and bus transportation is provided from and to Jurong East MRT station.)

​Minimum age​Applies to Positions 1 & 2: 18 years old

Applies to Positions 3, 4 & 5: 16 years old

Desired qualities, personality, talents and/or skills

Applies to Positions 1 & 2:

  • Healthy and physically fit
  • Creative 
  • Advanced photography/videography/video-editing skills

Applies to Position 3:

  • Physically fit to participate in interviews, photography and/or videography as well as be present during the event
  • Articulate & outgoing personality

Applies to Position 4 & 5:

  • Healthy and physically fit to be on your feet for a few consecutive hours
  • Organised
  • Approachable, polite, interactive and outgoing personality
