Nursing Specialties and Services

Synonym(s):

Dedicated and highly skilled, our oncology nurses are integral members of the healthcare team. They work closely with patients, their loved ones, and a multidisciplinary cancer care team to deliver the highest quality care. As part of a patient’s care team, our nurses provide support by formulating desired outcomes, developing treatment plans, and evaluating nursing care decisions to ensure overall patient well-being.

Our team of nurses provides general services in the following areas:

  • Specialist Oncology Clinics
  • Ambulatory Treatment Unit
  • Operating Theatre
  • Endoscopy Services
  • Radiation Oncology Services
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Services

Our Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Specialty Nursing Services

Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) and Specialty Nurses both play vital roles in delivering high quality cancer care at NCCS, but their scopes differ. APNs hold a Master of Nursing and are equipped with advanced clinical skills, allowing them to assess, diagnose, manage complex conditions, and prescribe medications. Specialty Nurses, on the other hand, are experts in specific oncology domains providing specialised clinical support, care coordination, and patient education throughout the cancer journey.

Together, they ensure patients receive safe, personalised, and comprehensive care at every stage.
