SNACK Service

Synonym(s):

Sometimes, a drink and smile can go a long way to warming our patients’ hearts. As a SNACK Service (SNACKs) volunteer, you will serve hot beverages and light refreshments to patients receiving chemotherapy, bringing comfort and reassurance as our patients go through the treatment. You will also play a meaningful role in connecting patients to support resources in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Available during clinic hours (10am – 12.30pm and/or 2pm – 4.30pm)
  • Able to commit at least once a week for a minimum of six months
  • Must be fully vaccinated
  • Physically able to be on your feet for up to 2.5 hours, and mindful of hygiene when handling food and drinks
  • A patient, caring, and approachable nature is essential
  • Prior experience with cancer patients or survivors is welcome but not required

Number of Volunteers Needed: Two for morning/afternoon shift, Mon - Fri
