Home Community Care Volunteer with NCCS SNACK Service

SNACK Service (Simple, Nutritional And Caring Kits)

Sometimes, a drink and smile can go a long way to warming our patients’ hearts. As a SNACKs volunteer, you will serve hot beverages and light refreshments to patients receiving chemotherapy, bringing comfort and reassurance as our patients go through the treatment. You will also play a meaningful role in connecting patients to support resources in a timely manner.  

Requirements:

  • Available during clinic hours (10am–12.30pm and/or 2pm–4.30pm)
  • Able to commit at least once a week for a minimum of six months
  • Must be fully vaccinated
  • Physically able to be on your feet for up to 2.5 hours, and mindful of hygiene when handling food and drinks
  • A patient, caring, and approachable nature is essential
  • Prior experience with cancer patients or survivors is welcome but not required


Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 for morning/afternoon shift, Mon -Fri
