Our pharmacists provide chemotherapy counselling for new patients, or patients who are starting on new chemotherapy treatments or patients in general who are on multiple medications.
Patients will be advised on the symptoms and management of adverse reaction to chemotherapy or other related medications.
For patients who have newly started on a medication, a pharmacist will call you within 7 working days to follow up on how you are tolerating the medication. The pharmacist will assess your medical condition and provide advice on the prevention and/or management of any potential side effects that you may experience.
If you are coping well with your medications, he/she will help to arrange for Medication Delivery Service (MDS) or Pre-Order Prescription Service (POPs) to facilitate the continuation of your medications.
This service is open to all NCCS patients above 65 years old for a detailed review of all medications (prescription, over-the-counter, herbal and nutritional supplements) to ensure that your current medication therapy is safe and effective.
Please call our ATU Oncology Pharmacy (65) 6306 1667 to make an appointment for this service.
