What is Mind-Body Therapy?
Mind-body therapy embodies evidence-based practices that focus on how the mind and body interact.
These interventions are grounded in the idea that our thoughts, emotions, behaviour and physical symptoms are closely linked. When we care for our emotions and our mind, our body will also be more at ease and well.
When used alongside conventional cancer treatment, mind-body therapies can help support healing and overall well-being during treatment and in cancer survivorship.
Benefits of Mind-Body Therapy - How it Works
Mind-body therapy can help:
Enhance relaxation
Reduce stress and anxiety
Improve sleep
Better manage side effects like pain and fatigue
It is important to note that mind-body therapies are not a replacement for conventional cancer treatment. Rather, these therapies support cancer treatment and help improve your physical and emotional well-being during your cancer journey.
