Strategic Programmes

The National Cancer Centre Singapore has developed a suite of Strategic Programmes to address evolving needs in oncology, in order to strengthen holistic, patient centred cancer care. These include initiatives focused on adolescents and young adults, older adults, and patients seeking evidence based integrative modalities, alongside two specialised units that advance precision medicine.

The Experimental Cancer Therapeutics Unit (ECRU) supports early phase clinical trials and drives translational drug development through biomarker research, xenograft testing, and specialised pharmacology platforms, while the Cancer Genetics Service (CGS) provides genetic counselling, testing, and cancer risk management for individuals and families with suspected hereditary cancer syndromes.

Together, these programmes enhance NCCS’ ability to anticipate demographic shifts, improve personalised care, and integrate research with clinical practice to better serve Singapore’s diverse cancer population.
