Continuing Education

Synonym(s):

Continuing Medical Education

NCCS provides continuing medical education (CME) to doctors and specialists to keep them updated on the latest developments in the field. Most of our CME programs are open to NCCS staff as well as general practitioners and medical professionals from other institutions and specialisations.

These programmes include workshops, talks and symposia to cater to the learning needs of each doctor. The timing and duration of our programmes are kept flexible to ensure minimal disruption to their busy work schedules. Both local and foreign experts teach in our programmes to ensure a consistently high quality of programme delivery.

Nursing

Continuing education allows nurses to keep up with advances and changes in both general and oncology nursing practice, and to incorporate these into the delivery of care.

We have co-hosted with ISNCC (International Society of Nurses in Cancer Centre) the 15th ICCN (International Conference on Cancer Nursing) in 2008, and the Regional Oncology Nursing Conference in 2013, 2019 and 2026.

We provide opportunities for both foreign and local nurses from other hospitals to undergo practical attachment and training, share findings, insights, experience, and advice. Attachments will be customised to fit the objectives of the nurses requesting them. NCCS Nursing also collaborates with WHO in the provision of fellowships, through which international and regional nurses can be attached to the Centre. Click here to learn more.

Pharmacy

The Pharmacy department provides various training programs for pre-registration pharmacists, pharmacy students and residents of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Oncology Residency Program.
