Supportive and Palliative Care Fellowship Programme

Objectives 

  • To provide Clinical Fellows with the experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist palliative care within a tertiary hospital, a specialist cancer centre, an in-patient hospice and a community palliative care team.

Eligibility 

  • MBBS or specialist qualifications (Medical)
  • Proficient in English 

Training Plan 

  • In-patient care of patients with cancer and advanced stages of other diseases
  • Visits to hospice services and community hospital palliative care services
  • Research projects (if undertaken) should be completed within 3 - 6 months
  • Participate in monthly journal club meetings and teaching sessions
  • Participate in oncology grand round
  • Participate in subspecialties multidisciplinary tumour boards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meeting and mortality round for Division of Supportive and Palliative Care
