Radiation Oncology Fellowship Programme

Objectives 

• To gain working experience with standard and newer technologies in radiation therapy.
• To provide exposure to management of cancers more commonly seen in an Asian population. 

Eligibility 

• MBBS
• Proficient in English
• A trainee in an Oncology unit or a practicing Oncologist 

Training Plan 

• Rotation through different teams
• Clerking and booking radiotherapy treatment for patients in consultation with DRO consultants
• Radiotherapy planning: Simulation, target volume delineations, planning, dose/fractionation choice
• Treatment delivery: Brachytherapy
• Follow-ups: Management of treatment side effects, and monitoring for response and recurrences
• Attend MO and trainee tutorials
• Division journal clubs and QA meetings
• Attend NCCS Grand rounds
• Participate in local conferences where available
• Participate in various tumour boards
