Continuing Nursing Education

Continuing nursing education allows nurses to keep abreast with advances and changes, both in general and oncology nursing practices so that it can be incorporated into their delivery of care.

Conferences and Seminars

Besides hosting the second Regional Oncology Nursing Conference “New Frontiers: Making a Difference" in May 2002, we have co-hosted with ISNCC (International Society of Nurses in Cancer Centre) the 15th ICCN (International Conference on Cancer Nursing) in 2008, the 3rd Regional and 4th Regional Oncology Nursing Conference in 2013 and 2019 respectively.

Attachments and Visits

We provide opportunities to both foreign and local nurses from other hospitals for practical attachment and training. Nurses could share their findings, insights, experience and advice. Attachments will be customised to fit the objectives of the nurses requesting for the attachments.

We also provide a practice setting for the local Advanced Diploma Oncology Nursing students. They are attached to NCCS for clinical observations, which will enhance their understanding of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment modalities pertinent to the management of cancer patients.

WHO Fellowships

We collaborate with WHO in the provision of fellowships. Through these, international and regional nurses can be attached to the Centre.
