According to the Singapore Cancer Registry Annual Report 2022, breast cancer remains the most common cancer diagnosed in females, with more than 13,000 cases reported in the period 2018 – 2022. It is also the leading cause of cancer death in women in Singapore.
Every October marks the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), a national campaign to raise awareness for this cause. This year, with the theme 'Act Now, Live Strong', we aim to empower women to take action today for a stronger tomorrow by:
(a) increasing public awareness of breast cancer and healthy lifestyle changes;
(b) motivating women to undergo mammogram screening; and
(c) celebrating breast cancer patients and survivors.
SingHealth and our partners on the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025 Organising Committee has planned a great line-up of public events this October. Check them out below, register and save the dates in your calendar!
