Flagship Project 1: Multi Cancer Early Detection (MCED) Tests Clinical Trial
NCCS will conduct a clinical trial to comprehensively evaluate the benefits of MCED tests to detect early-stage cancers in individuals with elevated risk and generate real-world evidence on whether they improve cancer diagnosis, staging, and survival.
Flagship Project 2: Cancer Risk Assessments and Early Detection (CRAnE) Study
LKCMedicine will conduct a study to develop targeted cancer screening and prevention for individuals with metabolic dysfunction, who are at higher risk of cancers such as liver, colorectal, lung, and breast. The CRAnE Study aims to test approaches to multi-cancer risk assessment in primary care, including the use of polygenic risk scores, to tailor screening and prevention advice. The team is conducting an initial feasibility and acceptability study that will inform the design of a larger randomised controlled trial.
