The Division was conceived to provide support and encourage clinical trials within NCCS. Since its inception in 1999, it has conducted more than 500 trials. Besides clinical trials, the division also carries out lung cancer research, biostatistical research and epidemiological studies. CTE Biostatistics Unit conducts biostatistics training to medical and PhD students of some of the local universities. CTE-CTO senior clinical research coordinators conduct internal training for Clinical Trials Operations’ clinical research coordinators, and are concurrently involved in the SingHealth Cluster level training organised by the SingHealth Clinical Trials Coordinating Centre. The division works in collaboration with full time clinicians from the clinical divisions of NCCS to develop protocols and to conduct clinical trials.
