Knit & Kraft for Hope (Hats): Crafting Comfort with Care

Help provide comfort to patients experiencing hair loss during treatment by creating handmade knitted hats. Each hat, crafted with love and accompanied by an encouraging message, offers both practical protection and emotional support to patients during their treatment journey. 

How It Works:

  • Begin with a sample piece to demonstrate your skills
  • Attend a Knitting term (4 sessions on Saturdays) 
  • Once approved, receive yarn from us to create hatsKnit from the comfort of your home
  • Include heartwarming messages with your finished pieces 

Requirements:

  • Experience in knitting required
  • Must submit a sample piece for quality assessment
  • Own knitting tools needed (yarn will be provided)
  • Full commitment to quality and care in crafting 

Getting Started:

  • Request a starter guide and initial yarn sample
  • Create and submit photos/video of your sample piece
  • Upon approval, receive materials for your first hat project

Knit & Kraft for Hope (Crafting Projects): Creating Moments of Joy and Remembrance 

Join us in bringing comfort through craft, from leading monthly activities for patients & caregivers to creating special pieces for meaningful occasions like NCCS's Remembrance Day. 

Our crafting initiatives help patients and caregivers find creative expression and comfort during their journey. While learning new skills and crafts, in a relaxing environment that helps reduce stress and anxiety during waiting times.  

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and facilitate engaging craft activities for patients
  • Create amigurumi butterflies and other crafts for special events
  • Share your crafting skills
  • Help make waiting time more meaningful through creative projects
  • Contribute to memorial projects that bring comfort to grieving families 

Requirements:

  • Experience in various crafts, such as craft activities & crochet amigurumi techniques
  • Ability to teach and guide others in craft activities
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Patience and sensitivity in working with patients
  • Commitment to project completion
  • Ability to follow specific craft patterns and requirements 

⏳️ Ad-hoc project-based/ / Weekend events

⏳️ Range from 3 to 5 hours per event

🗓 Crafting Booth: 3rd Friday of each month Weekday (10am to 1pm)
