Dr. Sim Yirong graduated with a medical degree and PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2009, and obtained her fellowship with Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2016. She did her Advanced Breast Surgery Fellowship (Oncoplastic Surgery and Translational Research) at Seoul National University Hospital from 2019-2020, under the Healthcare Manpower Development Programme (HMDP). Her focus and interests are in breast cancer research and in education.
She is currently a Senior Consultant at the Department of Breast Surgery in Singapore General Hospital and National Cancer Centre Singapore, and is the Director of Research for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre.
