About

Dr Babar Nazir is a Senior Consultant Radiologist in Department of Oncologic Imaging at National Cancer Centre, Singapore. His main sub-speciality is Head and Neck Cancer imaging and his main focus is on the advanced Functional MR neuroimaging using Dynamic Contrast Enhancement MRI (DCE-MRI) to understand the microperfusion of brain tumors and the changes induced by radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

He is the recipient of the HMDP Fellowship Award, 2025 by Ministry of Health, Singapore.

He completed his MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University, India, from where he also received MD in Radio-diagnosis. He is Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists (UK) and he did Advanced Speciality Training in Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore. He received gold medals during his medical school training. Earlier he worked as Additional Consultant Radiologist at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, New Delhi, India where he was also involved in image-guided cancer interven-tions, clinical trials and worked as supervisor for Diplomate of National Board Trainees. He did clinical study on periprostatic nerve block for transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy.

He is a member of the Singapore Radiological Society and the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Program, Singapore.
