Dr Koh Ye Xin is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary and Transplant Surgery in Singapore General Hospital and a member of the Singapore Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (HPBA-S). Dr Koh serves as the Co-Chairman in the Quality Improvement Committee of the Surgery Academic Clinical Program.
Dr Koh graduated from the Singhealth General Surgery Residency Programme and the Singapore Chief Residency Programme from the Healthcare Leadership College.
Dr Koh is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and holds a Master of Medicine (Surgery). He was the Asia-Pacific awardee of the Japan Hepatopancreatobiliary Society observership to Hokkaido University for training in advanced hepatopancreatobilary malignancy. He was a senior clinical fellow in Abdominal Transplantation at Cambridge University, Addenbrookes hospital, focusing on Multivisceral and Intestinal transplantation.
Dr Koh has authored several scientific publications in regional and international journals and has delivered multiple scientific presentations at conferences worldwide. He is the recipient of the Surgery Academic Clinical Programme Nuturing Clinican Scientist Award and is currently collaborating with A Star scientists and NTU engineers to develop novel bioengineering techniques to create a perfusable pancreatic islet cell carriage device and recellularisation of dellularised of pancreatric parenchyma matrices.
Dr Koh is passionate about passing on knowledge and contributes to education and training as an Assistant Professor in the National University Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke NUS Medical School. He also and serves as a physician faculty to the Singhealth General Surgery Residency Programme and as a mentor to the general surgical chief residents of the Singapore Chief Residency Programme.
