Research and Education

Research

The clinical nurses develop their professional clinical care with best practices from research. They play a critical role in promoting evidence-based practice focusing on delivering a high quality, patient-focused and cost-effective healthcare to optimise the health outcomes of patients. NCCS’ Nursing Research Committee carefully review reviews research studies and also conducts translational research from theory to clinical practice that aims to enhance patients’ comfort, functional, psychosocial well-being and adopt best practices in the care delivery.

Education & Training

Education and training is paramount to influence the advanced development of nursing practice. NCCS' Department of Nursing is committed to imparting knowledge, maintaining professional competence, providing support and resources to nurses that will enable them to develop to their greatest potential.

Nurses are also actively involved in organising health talks and exhibitions for the public to increase awareness on cancer prevention, screening, early detection and other cancer-related education.
