Undergraduate Education Unit (GEU)

The Undergraduate Education Unit (UGEU) gives medical students the opportunity to learn from medical experts at the National Cancer Centre Singapore through job shadowing and elective postings. Students experience a number of specialties that include surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, oncologic imaging, and supportive and palliative care. Students join oncologists for inpatient ward rounds, outpatient clinics, multi-disciplinary tumour boards and department meetings.

Optional tutorials and lectures provide an overview of common cancers and the principles of oncology. Subject to availability at the time, students may also participate in a research project to gain insight to the process and rigour of scientific investigation.
