Application Process

Instructions:

• All applications are to be submitted using the NCCS application form
• Curriculum vitaes and resumes will not be considered as proper applications
• Incomplete or wrongly completed forms will not be processed
• Applicants are advised to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria as set out by NCCS, SMC and MOM before they submit their applications
• Applications must be submitted at least 6-months before targeted commencement date for Clinical Fellowships and Clinical Observerships
• Applications must be submitted at least 3-months before targeted commencement date for Observerships (Hands-Off) and short attachments
• Concurrent applications for multiple training programmes are not allowed. NCCS-PGEU will randomly select one application for review and reject the other applications. Applicants may submit a second application only after the result of the first application is announced
• There is no limit to the number of attempts for application. However, each new application will be subjected to the same competitive selection process involving other applications received
• Only successful applicants will be notified within 1-month of the time of application
• Successful applicants will be sent a conditional offer letter from NCCS-PGEU together with the terms and conditions of attachment. The applicant will be given 3-weeks from the date of offer letter to accept the offer. Failing to do so, the offer will lapse
• The offer and start date of training will only be confirmed upon the successful application of temporary medical registration from The Singapore Medical Council (SMC), training employment pass from Ministry of Manpower, Singapore (MOM) and the completion of all other administrative procedures required for the attachment

• NCCS Administrative Fee: S$160.50 (non-refundable) 
• Singapore Medical Council Temporary Medical Registration (Clinical Fellows and Clinical Observers):

Application fee: S$300, Registration fee: S$450

• Malpractice Insurance Coverage (Clinical Fellows): S$395 - S$790
•Training Employment Pass: S$220 - S$250
•Accommodation in Singapore: S$1000 - S$1,500 per month
•Personal Medical Insurance Coverage: S$150
