Dr Jeffrey Tuan is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Hepato-biliary-pancreato-Gastrointestinal and Urological Radiation Oncology, and Research Director in the Division of Radiation Oncology, at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He also holds visiting consultant appointments in Urology at Singapore General Hospital and at the KK Gynaecological Cancer Centre, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Oncology Academic Clinical Programme at Duke-NUS Medical School. He specialises in prostate cancer radiotherapy, having treated over 1,000 patients using external beam radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), brachytherapy and proton beam therapy. Early in his career he spent four years on clinical and research fellowships at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research in London, and at the Fondazione CNAO in Pavia, Italy, under the European Commission’s PARTNER network for particle therapy. He has since established a large prospective outcomes registry spanning around 10,000 patients over more than 10 years, and his research focuses on minimising treatment-related toxicity and preserving quality of life in prostate cancer, including work on intra-fractional motion mitigation, dose-accumulation modelling and focal dose escalation with proton therapy. In June 2026 he was appointed Discipline Representative – Radiation Oncology on the TROG Scientific Committee for a three-year term.
