Dr Kevin Chua is a Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. He specialises in thoracic oncology and central nervous system malignancies, with particular expertise in stereotactic radiotherapy, reirradiation and proton therapy.
His research investigates the molecular mechanisms of radioresistance in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer, with broader interests in biomarker discovery and interactions between radiotherapy and the immune system. This work has received peer-reviewed national grant funding. He has published in journals including CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, The Lancet Oncology, JAMA Oncology, Cancer Discovery and the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, and has contributed to clinical practice recommendations in locally advanced lung cancer, radiation pneumonitis, reirradiation and molecular testing.
Dr Chua is a founding board member of the Singapore Society of Neuro-Oncology and has served on regional and international oncology committees, including the ASCO Asia-Pacific Regional Council, the Asian Society for Neuro-Oncology and the IASLC Global Multidisciplinary Practice Standards Committee. He chairs the Lung Cancer Education Programme Committee for the 2027 ASCO Annual Meeting and the Locoregional NSCLC Programme Track for the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer.
