Dr Kennedy Ng is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and Clinical Director at the Singapore General Hospital’s Division of Population Health and Integrated Care. He has a clinical and research interest in gastro-oesophageal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic cancers.
His research bridges clinical care, policy and implementation, spanning health systems, health poli-cy and economics, and cancer screening and prevention. He leverages real-world data - from linked clinical registries, electronic health records and administrative datasets - to generate actionable evidence for service design, cost-effectiveness analyses, and policy evaluation. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr Ng graduated MBBS (valedictorian) from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; obtained MRCP and MMed (NUS) in 2018; and received the Gordon Arthur Ransome Gold Medal. In 2022 he graduated as the top trainee of the Medical Oncology Specialist Programme. He was also awarded the Public Service Commission, Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship in 2024. As an Edward S. Mason and John F. Kennedy Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, he completed an MPA in 2025 and re-ceived the Raymond & Josephine Vernon Award for academic distinction and service.
He joined the SingHealth Internal Medicine Residency in 2016, served as Chief Resident (2018–2019), completed the Singapore Chief Resident Programme (2019), and received the Top Three SingHealth Chief Resident Award (2022). Passionate about reducing disparities in healthcare, he founded TriGen in 2020 to mobilise youth and community volunteers to support older adults.
