Dr Matthew Ng is the Head of GI Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and co-chairs the GI cancers service line delivery within the SingHealth Academic Medical Health Cluster. He obtained his PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research (London, UK) and research interests are in developing novel treatments for GI cancers particularly peritoneal directed therapies for upper GI cancers and as well as Early phase cancer drug development. He is the oncology lead for Upper GI cancers at SingHealth and is part of the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium, Singapore Peritoneal Oncology Study Group and Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (GI and Early Phase trials track). As the Clinical Director of the Investigational Medicine Unit (SingHealth) he oversees the conduct of inpatient early phase trials for healthy volunteers and patients from different medical specialities.
