About

Dr Evelyn Wong Yi Ting is a Consultant Medical Oncologist who practices at the NCCS and SKH, specialising in lower gastrointestinal cancers, upper gastrointestinal cancers and hepatobiliary can-cers. Her clinical interests is on early- onset colorectal cancer and has founded AYABytes, a mobile app co-created with patients and physicians to support adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer.

She completed her post-graduate certification with a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (Edinburgh) and a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (MMed) from the National University of Singapore. She completed her specialist training at National Cancer Centre Singapore.

She has a particular interest in the delivery of high-quality, value-based cancer care. She has worked on multiple initiatives looking to optimize the care for patients with cancer, including a study assessing pathways for colorectal cancer patients in NCCS. She currently serves as the Lead for Value-Driven Care Service in National Cancer Centre Singapore.

Dr Wong also has an keen interest in health economics and health policy and works towards reducing disparities in cancer care globally. She participates actively in the global community, having worked with communities in Chennai (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Yunnan (China) and Mae Na Chon (Thailand). She was a founding member and Director of Seeds of Nations Pte Ltd (2013-2017), a corporation focused on global community projects. She serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Oncology ACP, SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute.

Dr Wong is also active in teaching Senior Residents, medical officers, and medical and nursing students. She has received accolades for her educational efforts including Residency in Singhealth Excels Inspiring Resident Educator Award 2020 and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Medical Society Outstanding Tutor Award 2018.
