Pharmacy Services

Medication Delivery Service (MDS)

Wait in the comfort of your home and have your medication delivered right to your door step.

Arrange for MDS via ONE of the following ways:


  1. Fill up an online form at https://form.gov.sg/5f98decdd241e400119bfa27 OR
  2. Email refill.med@nccs.com.sg OR
  3. Call our MDS/POP Hotline at Tel: (65) 6243 7232 or (65) 6243 7234 [Operating Hours are Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, excluding Public Holidays]
Once your MDS has been arranged, you will receive a confirmation SMS with the delivery details.

Kindly note:
i. Certain medications or items e.g. controlled drugs, medication not kept by NCCS Pharmacy or milk feeds, are not eligible for collection by MDS.
ii. Please submit your delivery request at least 7 days before your medication(s) runs out. Requests for MDS less than 7 days will not be accepted.
iii. Please do not submit multiple requests for the same order as this may prevent us from confirming your order earlier.
iv. If you submitted your delivery request via the online form or email, we will contact you within 3 working days to confirm your delivery order.
v. Please ensure than an authorized person (age 18 and above) is at home to receive your medication at the scheduled delivery time. Your medication parcel cannot be left at your doorstep unattended.
vi. An administration free of $8 will be incurred: a. If there are any changes made within 7 days of the arranged delivery date b. In the event of re-delivery e.g. due to incorrect or invalid address provided, no authorized person at home to receive your medication.

Pre-Order Prescription (POP)

Coming to NCCS? Grab your medication and go! Follow the steps below.

Arrange for POP via ONE of the following ways:

  1. Fill up an online form at https://form.gov.sg/5f98decdd241e400119bfa27 OR
  2. Email refill.med@nccs.com.sg OR
  3. Call our MDS/POP hotline at Tel: (65) 6243 7232 or (65) 6243 7234 [Operating Hours are Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, excluding Public Holidays]

Once your POP has been arranged, you will receive a confirmation SMS with the collection details.

Kindly note:

i. Medication not kept by NCCS Pharmacy are not eligible for collection by POP.

ii. Please submit your POP request at least 3 days before your medication(s) runs out. Requests for POP less than 3 days will not be accepted.

iii. If you submitted your POP request via the online form or email, we will contact you within 3 working days to confirm your POP order.

iv. Any changes to your POP order that are requested on the day of collection will inevitably be subjected to a longer waiting time.

 

Other Services

Tele-Medicine Service

For patients newly started on certain medications, a pharmacist will call you within 7 working days to follow-up on how you are tolerating the medication.

The pharmacist will assess your medical condition, and provide advice on the prevention and/or management of any potential side effects that you may experience. If you are coping well with your medication, we will help facilitate the continuation and collection of your medication by arranging for MDS or POP.

Home Care Service

Home Care Service allows you to receive selected injections (such as Herceptin®, Phesgo®, Degarelix, Denosumab, Filgrastim, Fulvestrant, Goserelin, Leuprorelin, Pegfilgrastim) prescribed by your doctor in the comfort of your home. A doctor’s referral is required for this service. Please check with your doctor if you are interested in enrolling for this service.

Once enrolled, your home care visit will be scheduled. Most injections (except Filgrastim and Pegfilgrastim) will be delivered to your home at least 48 hours before your scheduled visit. A designated home care nurse will also contact you at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled visit and will provide you with a contact number, in case you wish to contact them.

For drug-related enquiries, please contact NCCS Oncology Pharmacy at (65) 6436 8139 [Operating Hours are Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, excluding Public Holidays]. If it is within 24 hours of your injection, you may also enquire with your designated Home Care nurse.

If you are unwell after your Home Care nurse has completed the home visit and left the premises, please call the NCCS Hotline at (65) 6436 8000 or proceed to the nearest Accident & Emergency Department or clinic doctor.

Charges

Home Care Service charges only cover the home visit by the Home Care nurse. Drug costs are separate and not included. It is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for consideration for MediShield Life claims and MediSave deductions.

Home Care Service is partly supported by charity funds. Taking this into account, the charges for a single home visit by the Home Care nurse are as follows:

  • For patients receiving government subsidies
    • Estimated charges: $5 to $35 (before GST), depending on level of government subsidy
  • For patients not receiving government subsidies
    • Estimated charges: $110 (before GST)

Cancellation charges (full charge for a home visit, as above) apply as follows, regardless of whether an alternative home visit appointment is made:

  • If notice is given >12 hours before appointment, there will be no charge
  • If notice is given <12 hours before your appointment, cancellation charges apply

Medication Management

This service is designed to help you manage your medication appropriately.

  • We help you reorganise your medication by sorting them out, disposing the unnecessary or expired ones, and re-labeling them.
  • We offer counseling and advice on the proper use of medicines.
  • We provide medication information materials.

You may make an appointment with our pharmacists at (65) 6436 8091 if you have:

  • Medicines at home that can no longer be used.
  • Queries on the safe disposal of your medication.
  • Queries on the proper medication and instruction.

Smoking Cessation Counseling

At NCCS, we understand the unique challenges of quitting smoking while focusing on cancer treatments. If you are a cancer patient who smokes, you should consider quitting smoking, whether or not your cancer is smoking-related. Studies have shown that cancer patients who stop smoking tend to have better responses to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, and have fewer side effects from treatments. We ensure that patients who are interested in quitting smoking are offered support.

Your consult with our counselors will cover the following:

  • Assessment of your medical history and cancer treatment status
  • Assessment of your smoking behaviour and triggers
  • Formulation of a suitable quit smoking plan to suit your lifestyle and cancer treatment schedule
  • Assessment of your need for nicotine replacement and/or behavioural therapies
  • Management of cravings, stress and withdrawal symptoms
