Facing the diagnosis of cancer and its treatment can be challenging for anyone. The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, which is made up of the unique departments of Palliative Medicine, Psychosocial Oncology, and Cancer Education and Information, aims to enhance the well-being and improve quality of life for our patients and their families throughout the whole cancer journey. Working in clinical care teams consisting of doctors, nurses, clinical psychologists, medical social workers and other allied health professionals, the division provides an additional layer of specialized support at any stage of the cancer journey, through education, relief of physical symptoms associated with cancer and its treatments, and optimizing the emotional and psychological well-being of our patients.
