Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre





The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is the national specialty centre for complex cancer care which manages the majority of cancer cases in Singapore’s public healthcare sector. 

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Singapore, with 1 in 4 Singaporeans expected to get the disease in their lifetime. The rising incidence of cancer, drives the team at NCCS to continually seek new, innovative treatment options for our patients. 

The Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre

NCCS is the only public healthcare institution in Singapore to offer proton therapy. Supported by a generous $50 million gift from the Goh Foundation, the Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre gives patients in Singapore and the region, access to proton beam therapy, an advanced radiation treatment that precisely targets and destroys cancer cells, while minimising damage to surrounding healthy tissues.

The Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre operates within one of the largest radiotherapy centres in Southeast Asia. The Centre is staffed by a highly-trained and experienced multi-disciplinary team, who employ cutting-edge radiation therapy, to deliver personalised and comprehensive care to patients. 



Supported by a comprehensive suite of oncology services

The Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre is located in the 24-storey NCCS, a one-stop integrated centre for complex cancer care, research, education and support services. Cancer services at NCCS include medical oncology, radiation oncology, imaging oncology, surgical oncology, paediatric cancer care and rehabilitation. The full suite of oncology services, offers patients a comprehensive, integrated and seamless care experience.
