Mentoring

The Palliative Medicine Initiative (PMI) is a research mentoring program for medical students and junior doctors initiated by the Division of Cancer Education and Division of Supportive and Palliative Care. Established by Prof Lalit Krishna, the programme’s research focuses on palliative medicine, medical education, end-of-life ethics, communication skills and person-centered care through research mentoring. The PMI provides mentoring opportunities to nurture communication, ethics and professionalism competencies, as well as leadership skills.

Funding Received 
The programme has received $50,000 from the Academic Clinical Programme to support the mentoring system, development of resources and evaluation and assessments to refine and improve the mentoring process.
