Joint breast cancer registry (JBCR) was established in 2012 to promote research collaborative efforts among researchers in Singapore, under governance by multi-disciplinary breast cancer care teams. We are hospital-based cancer registry and central repository of all breast cancer patients diagnosed and/or treated for cancer at a particular facility. We are multi-institution registry and provide the breast specialists in strengthening in the capacity of health data and the information systems to support epidemiology, outcomes, service utilization, socioeconomic impacts of breast cancer and physician education. We have big plans for the coming decades to approach new initiatives and expanding partnerships between institutions, breast cancer research communities and individuals through new scientific collaborations. The goal is to provide our researchers with the best evidence-based recommendations and healthcare leaders with data-driven strategic decision making in breast cancer care, to help prioritise health resource allocations and to advance clinical care.
