Tan Ying Cong Ryan, Yap Yoon Sim, Wong Fuh Yong Patient characteristics and breast cancer outcomes Abstract Disclosures Background and aims: The importance of patient characteristics such as BMI, ethnicity and socioeconomic status, among others and their impact on breast cancer outcomes is becoming increasingly recognized. A comprehensive contemporary study of breast cancer patients in Singapore and would be useful to inform population health initiatives. This study aims to review patient characteristics and breast cancer outcomes. Materials and Methods: A retrospective review of patient characteristics and outcomes of breast cancer cases seen at JBCR Institutions between 2000 to 2017 will be conducted. Patient characteristics refer to variables including but not restricted to: age, BMI (weight and height at baseline, before and after diagnosis), ethnicity, menopausal status, socioeconomic status (eg. using housing value as surrogate, receipt of medical subsidies, marital status) and other known risk factors. It will also include tumor characteristics such as clinic-pathologic features and genomic information, both somatic and germline, if available as well as treatment details. Outcomes in study will refer to breast cancer events and survival. 1. To describe the distribution of patient characteristics with breast cancer across time periods 2.
