“For my reservist stint as a medic in September 2021, our entire unit was mobilised to support Singapore’s home recovery programme and COVID-19 vaccination efforts in the community. While in-camp, we went through vaccination training and refreshers on emergency response, to prepare ourselves for administering vaccines to seniors at their homes.
It is meaningful to be able to reach out to the elderly and help keep them safe from the virus, as they have mobility issues that make it hard for them to head down to a community vaccination centre. I am glad to have been a part of the home vaccination programme!”
