​Embryologists work closely with the Doctors and Nurses in the IVF Center. To the public, we are known as people who make “test-tube babies”. We work behind-the-scenes in the laboratory and our daily routine includes processing and fertilisation of gametes and culturing of embryos in the laboratory to select the best embryos for the patient. Embryologists work closely as a team as every process is critical.

To me, being an Embryologist is meaningful as I play a part in helping couples achieve their dreams of having children. When patients come back to visit us with their babies, the happiness on their faces are indescribable by words alone. We would tell the babies, “We saw you when you were only cells in the laboratory!"
