“For ophthalmology, we need nurses to provide education on age-related eye conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy and Glaucoma. We have seen more nurse-led clinics and nurses who are developing evidence-based practice.
I’m currently working on understanding the provision of care for patients with low vision. I strongly believe that a Diabetic Retinopathy patient’s journey is different from that of a Glaucoma patient or one with a Corneal eye disease, for example. I’m passionate about improving patients’ experiences and their journey to recovery.”
