About the Event
The commercialisation of biotech research is a long and challenging journey, but the rewards can be substantial. Translating research from the lab to the clinic also requires a significant investment of time, resources, and expertise.
Join our guest speakers from Outram Bio, Mr Ng Choon Peng and Mr Christopher Tan, as they discuss the various ingredients required to start a company and the obstacles that can arise along the way. They will also share their respective experiences in entrepreneurship and venture capital, how it led them to form Outram Bio, and offer insights into what it takes to succeed.
About the Speakers
Mr Ng Choon Peng is a partner at Outram Bio and the CEO and Co-Founder of ImmunoScape. He is also the Founder of Tembusu Healthcare, a pharmaceutical company that distributes allergy, respiratory and dermatology products across Southeast Asia. Mr Ng was previously a Senior Director at A*STAR (pharmbio cluster) and CEO of Asia for LEO Pharma, a Danish pharmaceutical company.
Mr Christopher Tan is a partner at Outram Bio and an Advisor at ImmunoScape. He is also a Partner at Ebbtide Investors, a private investment firm that invests in technology and financial services companies. Mr Tan led the healthcare technology investment practice at FTV Capital, a S$6 billion growth equity investment firm based in San Francisco.
About the Facilitator
Ms Charlotte Nam is a Director of Corporate Development at Outram Bio. She is also the Regional Business Manager at Tembusu Healthcare, and she co-led the sale of Tembusu Healthcare to Auxilto Group, an international healthcare company that licenses, manufactures, and distributes pharmaceutical products.
