Neurofibromatosis, or NF, is a group of genetic condition that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
Every year, the month of May is recognized to be the NF awareness month. Shine a Light is a global campaign organized by Children’s Tumor Foundation. This movement aims to bring awareness about NF in the community by lighting up buildings, bridges and monuments in the NF colors of blue and green.
This year NCCS will be organizing a series of talks about NF management and recent advances in research. This will be followed by a walk where participants can enjoy the various attractions, such as Cavenagh Bridge, which will be lit up in NF colors.
