The success of Run for Hope 2011: NCCS wishes to Thank YOU!
The 19 th annual charity event organized by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, The Regent Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) continues its race to fight cancer and managed to raise $235,000 for Cancer research. It was a great success! We saw more than 3500 participants running for this good cause. The funds raised through this event goes towards NCCS cancer research efforts and will develop various arms for new research, technology and clinical trials. It is with this hope that we appeal to your spirit of generosity in donating to this worthy cause.
We would like to thank corporate donors, sponsors, volunteers from Temasek Polytechnic, InHerShoes team, TV personalities and the individuals and corporations who supported the run!

It feels very important to me to support this project because my mom is currently battling cancer, so I really want to be part of something bigger - apart from raising funds for her medical through my album - something for the community that has been affected by cancer.” - Caroline Tjen |

There was a time when Cancer was a certain death sentence. Thanks to medical advancements that were certainly not the result of accident but tedious research, there have been more and more cases of survival, recovery and the possibility of prevention for some cancers. Giving to Cancer research is giving to hope, giving to a future where Cancer is not the frightening word it is today. I see myself, my friends and my loved ones as part of that future.” - Joanna Dong |

Cancer research should increase the support of a better and healthier diet to help AVOID cancer illnesses, enhance our knowledge on how to lead a healthier life in general. Youth and parents need to become aware that the growing fast food culture is also a growing source for bad health. All this development requires money and attention.” - Wil Kolen |
