A. PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS

1. CANCERWISE WORKSHOPS

a. CancerWise Women Workshop
This comprehensive workshop addresses concerns about female cancers e.g. breast and cervix. Learn from cancer experts how to reduce risks and what to do when you have suspicious signs and symptoms.

b. CancerWise Workshop on Lung and Nasopharyngeal Cancers

Lung cancer is the second most common cancer affecting Singapore men and women after colorectal cancer. Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is ranked sixth. Our cancer specialists will provide you with vital information on what you need to know to reduce your risks, recognise the signs and symptoms, detect and treat them early.

Registration is now opened for all 3 workshops. Seats are reserved first-come-first-served and are limited to a small number to allow participants more interaction with the specialists.

Fees: $10 per participant per workshop (inclusive of GST, workshop kit and light refreshment). Special corporate and staff rates are available. Please call to enquire.

B. PATIENT SERVICES

1. FOREIGN PATIENTS SERVICE

Foreign Patients Service is a one-stop service set up to provide assistance to foreign patients who would like to seek medical consultations at the National Cancer Centre, Singapore.

Their services include arrangements for:

  • Medical referral and appointments
  • Accommodation
  • Airport transfer
  • Ambulance services

Appointments for medical consultation, accommodation and transportation needs are arranged prior to their arrival in Singapore. Upon discharge, the referring physician from the home country will receive a complete medical report of the patient to facilitate continuing care.

2 . CANCER HELPLINE FOR KIDS

Kids Can(cer) Talk or KCT is a service that provides a channel for kids to express their concerns and fears about cancer. An extension of NCC’s Cancer Helpline, this service provides information, emotional and psychological support to young people affected by cancer. If you are a teenager or younger, this helpline is just what you need to discuss your fears and worries about cancer. Our friendly and understanding nurse counsellors will be more than happy to answer your questions.

3. NCC PHARMACY HELPDESK
If you are unsure of how to take your medication, forgotten the dosage, replenish your prescription, or request delivery of medication to your home, you can contact the Pharmacy Helpdesk on tel: 6436 8282 for assistance.
