CANCERWISE WORKSHOPS

A.
Liver, Pancreas and Stomach Cancers
Liver and Stomach cancers are among the top 10 cancers affecting Singaporeans. Attend this workshop and learn from NCC’s cancer specialists how to identify risk factors, recognise signs and symptoms early and to prevent them.

Gynaecological Cancer
Get an update from NCC’s cancer specialist in this comprehensive workshop that addresses concerns about female cancers such as cervical and ovarian cancers. Learn what to do when you have suspicious signs and symptoms and how you can reduce your cancer risk.

C. Breast Cancer
This comprehensive workshop addresses concerns about breast cancer and common breast problems. Participants will also learn how to perform breast self-examination, how to reduce risks and what to do when you have suspicious signs and symptoms.

Mental Health and Well-being
This is workshop aims to help you understand and cope with the emotional roller-coaster ride of having cancer. Caregivers and patients will receive useful tips on taking care and letting go of the emotional burden the diagnosis of cancer has created. A cancer survivor will also be sharing his/her experience.

Colorectal Cancer & Healthy Guts
Colorectal is the no. 1 cancer affecting Singapore men and women. This workshop is designed to empower healthy individuals to recognise suspicious signs and symptoms, identify risk factors and take measures to detect and prevent it. There will also be a demonstration on how to prepare a health a dish for healthy guts.

Brown-Bag Event @ NCC

If you have any concerns about your medication, put them all in a bag and bring them to NCC’s pharmacist for review. The pharmacist will identify and correct problems such as improper dosing, lapsed expiry dates, drug mismatches, compliance issues, spotting of duplicate medications as well as poorly stored medications. If necessary, the patient will be referred back to his or her physician for review. This service is for NCC patients only.
