We celebrate the newsletter’s 6th Anniversary with a new name and look. Can-Help News is now “Tumorrow” – which means… There is possibly tumour in tomorrow. There is also tomorrow (hope) with tumour – and therefore screening and early detection is important.

We have come a long way since our very first issue in April 2000, constantly reinventing ourselves to bring you; our valued readers updated information about cancer. Over the years, the contents have evolved from very basic cancer information to research findings and clinical trials. We’ve also included articles on support for patients and caregivers, testimonies of hope from patients and survivors, self-care tips and advice from the pharmacist, all to cater for the changing information seeking appetite of our readers.

In this issue, we discuss cancer survivorship and moving on despite cancer recurrence. We also talk about “Eating”, very much a Singaporean pastime, lifestyle and culture. Conversations often revolve around where to find the best local delicacies. For a cancer patient or caregiver, food can be a real issue. In addition to changes in taste and appetite from cancer or the treatment given, there is a constant worry whether what we eat is going to affect the cancer. We share some tips on eating and keeping well after cancer. We have even included a simple and nutritious recipe especially for you.

With re-newed verve and vigour, we aspire to present to you a better “Tumorrow” with more interesting information and stories.

Enjoy reading Tumorrow!
