Patients face changes in speech, eating and other side effects that impact on their daily lives. This often cause intense frustrations and grief, leading to esteem problems and relationships difficulties.
After treatment, many patients continue an arduous period of rehabilitation and adjustment. This requires great courage, strength and the committed support frim family, friends and fellow patients.
The NPC group is coordinated by NCC Medical Social Worker Mr Travis Loh with our Programme Leader, Mr Teo Thiam Chye (a NPC survivor), who has been an inspiration to many fellow patients.
