Aims:
- Provide a safe environment for individual expression
- Facilitate healthy grieving processes and emotional healing
- Promote peer support and sharing
- Strengthen families and empower them to move on in life
In our efforts to extend our support to the families who lost a loved one to cancer, Grief in Recovery, a therapeutic support group was started in 2004, initiated by Mr Gilbert Fan with his vast clinical experience in grief work, the program session has up to 8 families and sessions are structured and experiential.
Following the success of the English group, we have also started a Mandarin Group led by Mrs Tan Yee Pin (Asst Manager, Dept of Psychosocial Oncology).
