The department offers a wide range of psychosocial services to help patients make informed and effective decisions, communicate well and bond with their loved ones, and maintain as normal a lifestyle as possible.
Current programmes and services available include:

Patient counselling on treatment, acceptance, lifestyle changes and interpersonal relationship issues, |

Family counselling on illness-related, grief and bereavement issues, as well as caregiver/ family support, |

Psychological services such as psychological assessment, managing sleep disorders, depression counselling for cancer patients with psychological and psychiatric history, and sexuality counselling, |

Patient education and befriending services that cover psycho-education, therapy groups, training of group work facilitators, and befrienders’ growth and development, and |
|
Other care-related services such as financial assistance, employment matching, education, housing and shelter for crisis. |
