With the aim to become a major centre in the region for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, we have assembled a core of experienced teachers and trainers to coordinate all aspects of postgraduate training in oncology. The NCC teaching modules include: Continuing Medical Education (CME), Accreditation of Cancer and External Liaison.
Continuing Medical Education takes the form of training courses, upgrading courses and refresher courses for staff. To uphold international standards, foreign experts will be invited to transfer their skills and knowledge to Singapore. Cancer awareness events will take the form of seminars and exhibitions for professionals.
Accreditation of Cancer Specialists establishes essential educational requirements where local as well as overseas fellows will adhere to standard criteria, policies and procedures. This certification will provide confidence in the quality of care provided by NCC and related cancer treatment organisations.
The External Liaison Programme establishes formal links with internationally-recognised cancer institutions as well as world-renowned experts in cancer care and research to help improve medical education and training. |
