ABCs of Cancer

How does Lizzy reproduce normally?

I have a nucleus at the centre of my body, which stores genes.
Genes are basic units of inheritance, that you and I inherit from our parents.

Cell division and growth in my body is a very orderly process controlled by these genes.
My genes control all of the activities that keep me alive, including when and how
often cells in the body divide and when they should die.
Normally, I make new cells by dividing into two.
This is how worn out, old cells in the body are replaced with new ones.
